Anita Riemen - Painter
May 2009
Anita Riemen

I have been a resident of Carmel,
IN for the past seventeen years.

I have always loved art and used to
paint and draw as a child. I took
some oil painting classes in adult
education, but when I had my first
watercolor class in New York City I
was hooked and have been doing
watercolors ever since.

I like to paint anything that strikes
my fancy but it seems that I lean
toward landscapes especially
water scenes with boats or
lighthouses, or landscapes with
flowers and trees.

I love the way the water and paint
mix on paper and the different
effects you can get with painting
with watercolor.

I hope anyone who sees my art will
enjoy my interpretation of nature
and life.
