Kathryn Rodenbach is a mixed media artist who uses metalsmithing, beading,
collage, bookmaking and painting skills together or separately to create 2-D and 3-D
art.  Kathryn has been trying to decrease her footprint on the earth for many years.
She has been an active recycler and continues to find ways to reuse items that
normally would be discarded.  She has finally found a way to combine this interest
with a love of collecting and a mixed media bag of art skills to create one of a kind
whimsical figures from beads, paint, recycled and vintage materials.

Aptly named "Junk Fairies", this series will intrigue you as you ponder what the
different parts were in their previous life.  Short biographies are penned for each
fairy to give them their own unique personalities.  "Blockins" are a combination of
beads and collaged vintage ephemera on wooden block bodies, they also have
short biographies.  Finally, "Beadkins" are fun little beaded critters and people from
2-5" that can travel with you anywhere.  Beadkins are either on ribbon, cell phone
lanyards, stickpins, or key chains.
