Karen received her Master's in Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts at
Amherst. She was awarded a Ford Foundation Grant and has received numerous
awards. One of her earliest influences was finger painting in kindergarten. It was during
that experience with the paint that her passion for painting started. Karen is inspired by
places she has lived and traveled, particularly Italy, where she has visited regularly
since the early 1980's.
Her work has been in over 40+ juried and non- juried exhibits. She is a member of the
Inprint, a printmakers group, and Indianapolis Dowtown Artist and Dealers Association.
Karen's work is in numerous private collections throughout the East Coast and the
Midwest including General Motor Company, Noblesville High School, Indiana; and
Lifemasters, Inc, Indianapolis, Indiana.
She is a past Board Member of the Sullivan/Munce Art Center, Zionsville, IN.
