I love to draw and paint! As I child I was fascinated with the details I saw in everything.
Growing up in northern Michigan, now known as the Sleeping Bear National Park, I was
immersed in the beauty of nature and wildlife. Along with my grandpa’s library of artists’
works and biographies, I worked to my hearts content from favorites of Michelangelo and
Rembrandt.
As a young adult my time transitioned to academics, youth work, marriage and parenting.
However, when our fourth child was born, drawing and painting couldn’t wait any longer.
Art has refreshed places in my heart that nothing else could. The ‘arts’ are a language of
their own and the hobby that flourished for a season has become a passion in my life.
