Elaine C. Wolfe

Elaine C. Wolfe started her
art career painting the
seasonal beauty of
Pennsylvania and her native
Indiana. She has lived in
five states and traveled
throughout the world finding
beauty wherever she went,
and it is this serene beauty
which she conveys to her
patrons so that they
experience a sense of time
and place within their own
lives.
Recent retirement has
facilitated full-time focus on
artistic endeavors. Working
in various media, Elaine has
exhibited and won prizes,
both locally and nationally,
in all media. Her works are
found throughout the U.S.
and in private and
corporate collections
around the world. She is
best known for her
landscapes, wildlife
portraiture, and depictions
of European architecture.
Her formal art training was
accomplished on the East
Coast; however, she
continually strives for
improvement, adding
texture, color, and
dynamics into her works.
Since returning to Indiana,
Elaine has been a member
of CCA since 1981. Elaine
is also a member of
Hoosier Salon, Irvington
Guild of Artists, Indiana
Artists and Craftsmen,
Watercolor Society of
Indiana, Munce-Sullivan Art
Center, Southside Art
League, Inc., and she
exhibits regularly at Penrod,
Broad Ripple, Avon,
Zionsville, and the Indiana
State Art Fairs. Her works
have also been exhibited at
The Art Gallery, in Spring
Lake, Michigan, the
Indianapolis Museum of Art,
and the Will Vawter Art
Competition. Recently, she
has had her work juried into
“Renditions - 2006”,
“Watercolor Society -
2006” held at the IMA, and
the “First Annual Miniature
Show” in Zionsville.
