Carol Watson is an Indiana native, and has been a Zionsville resident since 1990. Her adventure in glass started about 30 years ago when she took her first class in stained glass. Sidelined by raising 2 boys, her art took a backseat for many years. She took an adult education class in glass beadmaking (lampwork) in 2002, and hasn't looked back. Her passion for art was excitingly rekindled. She smiles as she says "I get lost in the gooey, wonderfulness of the colors of molten glass. I get a different result every single time I light the torch, the glass never disappoints me. The hours on the torch just fly by. "
Carol has studied with many world famous lampwork artists, and considers her bead style to be organic in style and color. When Carol had more beads than she knew what to do with, she began to design jewelry. Metalsmithing classes followed.
In addition to jewelry, Carol has recently added usable beadable objects to her glass repertoire.
