Having taught art for the past 29 years, I have spent my career exploring the
right side of the brain and creativity. In this left-brained, linear-thinking world,
art and creativity may be the last frontier to be explored.  I believe in
producing as many pieces of art as possible and my personality requires me to
have variety.
The study of people and their life as they make their way through this world is
usually my focus and yet at times I do have to experiment with abstracts.
Salvador Dali’s paintings paralleled the new science of his time, and so I too
have looked at what the new scientists of our age are dealing with when
researching the Black Holes in space.
I have written my first book called ‘The Test Takers’ which was quite an
adventure in itself to create.  Like painting, I lost myself for hours on end in the
world that I was writing about.
Coaching and competing in athletics were my passion in my younger years
but now I find myself running, writing, and painting more and more.  Painting
and running may be the last two freedoms that we have in this world.
